Dr. Julian J. Javier
Dr. Julian J. Javier is a board-certified Interventional cardiovascular specialist in private practice in Naples, Florida. He did his cardiovascular specialty at Saint Louis University and his Interventional Cardiology specialty at University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock Arkansas. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and in interventional Cardiology and is fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
He has extensive experience in endovascular diseases. From 1998 to 2005 he practiced at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute Center, known for its pioneering in endovascular diseases. He was a member of the research department and a staff cardiologist.
Dr. Javier has been involved in academics since 1996 when he was a faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Science and director of the Coronary care unit at the VA system in Little Rock. He was a Voluntary Assistant professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Javier has been in Naples since 2004 and is the director of the Naples Cardiac Endovascular Center, dedicated to the treatment of Cardiac and vascular disorders.
Dr. Javier is one of the pioneers in the radial access technique for heart catheterization using this approach since 1996, which in the last three years has become the recommended technique by cardiac societies for left heart catheterization. He presented his radial technique experience via multiple abstracts at the annual meeting of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions in Boston, MA in 2003. He is also the director of Venous Hands On course, dedicated to teaching specialists his technique for treating venous disease.
He has authored 6 book chapters and multiple peer reviewed articles in Endovascular Disease and has been principal investigator in many trials developing new therapeutic technique to treat endovascular disorder. Dr. Javier is a frequent invited speaker in many National and International conferences for Venous Disorders.
Dr. Julian Javier is an experienced and skill interventionalist, with a strong belief in preventive medicine. He is an active participant in clinical research and works with some of the most prestigious academic centers and investigators in the cardiac and vascular field. He is one of the Principal Investigators of Advanced Research for Health Improvement conducting multiple cardiovascular clinical trials.
